The Trust is very pleased and honoured to announce that The Speaker, Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP has agreed to be a Patron of the Trust.

The Trust has recently established a link with Edinburgh University and is currently providing speakers on a range of topics for the Edinburgh Political Union, the official student body of the Department of Politics & International Relations. Some of the events are in-person and some online as follows:

4 April (on-line): Dr Edmund Marshall “Electoral Reform”

Several members are engaged with Speakers for Schools, the organisation that provides knowledgeable and experienced speakers, from all sectors, for teenage audiences in state schools. Badly disrupted by the pandemic, in person visits have now re-started with Tom Levitt visiting a sixth form in Bracknell, Berkshire to discuss the situation in Ukraine.
